Who is Natasha Nicole?

Natasha Nicole is someone who lives and breathes fashion – it is her passion. At an early age, Natasha knew that working in the fashion industry was definitely something she wanted to do. “Fashion has been a quintessential part of my life for as long as I can remember,” says the 25-year-old Virginia native. Family and friends saw her flair for fashion and would frequently come to her for advice on what they should wear or how they should wear their clothes. Consequently, she’s been styling since she was 13.

Upon graduating high school, it was clear she had to leave in order to fulfill this desire to be in the fashion industry; but she wasn’t completely ready for New York, so she set out to go to the Art Institute in Miami, Florida where she completed her Associate of Arts degree in less than 2 years. After graduating, she decided to stay in Miami and proceed into the working field.

Since Natasha has been able to work, she has acquired over 9 years of experience in men’s and women’s retail, working for a number of retail/fashion companies such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Kenneth Cole, BCBG Max Azria, and Sean John; as well as at a consulting agency/firm as Retail/Merchandising Coordinator. October of 2006, she moved to New York and it immediately felt like home – “the constant movement, the energy, the excitement was just what I needed in my life. I immediately fell in love with NYC. I was now living in the fashion capital of the world and loving every minute of it!

Her experiences in sales, management, and merchandising have led her to believe one thing: she loves making her clients look and feel good; she loves styling outfits together & making something out of nothing.

Finding and creating the perfect look for someone and having him/her love it, is an amazing feeling. Personal shopping is something that I believe goes hand in hand with styling. My passion for both has led me to start my own personal shopping and styling company. Eventually I am going to create a whole lifestyle brand. I now know that this is my calling and exactly what I want to do in the fashion industry.

She plans to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology this upcoming Spring 2009 to meet this dream. Natasha Nicole took some time out of her busy schedule to let MMHighlights into her world.
