Kari brings you the brand new single “Get In My Car” and this time he brings along Ms. 32 Flavors herself Diamond!
Nobody saw Kari coming. As a native of so many different cities, David Ba”kari” Daniels had to live life before he could write about it, contrary to many artists today who seem to speak about things before they even receive or live them. David was born November 15, 1986 in Livingston,NJ and resided in Newark until the age of 5, at which point he moved to St. Louis Missouri. The youngest child of three with a single mother, David came from a musical background and lived the idea that trust is always earned, and rarely deserved. His family remained extremely close, and his mother worked continuously more than 1 job in order to provide for her children. In search of better opportunities, David’s family moved from St. Louis to New York, California, and, ultimately Alabama, where he still resides today in the city of Huntsville. David always was involved with singing since childhood. Singing with various church choirs and groups, he was raised with sound morals and values. His love for hip-hop was insatiable, having an eclectic palette for many forms of music, ranging from classical to rock and, more notably, hip-hop. His favorite MC to this day is Jay-Z and favorite song is “Dead Presidents 2”, from Jay-Z’s debut album “Reasonable Doubt”. His defining moment came from seeing Jay perform that song live in concert. At that moment, David decided he wanted to tell his own story through written verse. He began writing poetry, filling book after book with tales of love, lust, hate, pain, religious confusion and a variety of other topics. Never waiting to have a group to support him, David made the transition to rap, much to the criticism of others around him. Having sustained a certain image in a small town, David found himself struggling to be seen and heard as a rapper. David decided to write, produce, and record 4 mixtapes in the “Lyrical Status” series himself to prove just how serious he was. And the world started to listen. Now with a hit single “You Got It” gaining the attention of mainstream industry and local artists alike, the best is yet to come for “Kari”.
