Urban Ink—the illest tattoo magazine in the world reppin’ for the urban tattooed population—announced the release of their 25th issue. Urban Inkchronicles the untold stories of tattooed people of color, delving into their unique life experiences, which are documented in their body art. For their latest edition, UI features “Rack City” rapper, Tyga and his video co-star, Blac Chyna.
Ever since Tyga and Blac Chyna first stepped out for a night out, the media has been reporting of an alleged romance between the two. Although, Tyga was tightlipped during his Urban Ink interview about his relationship friendship with Chyna, he did let us in on his detailed tattoo collection—including the dots he let Lil’ Tunechi himself tattoo on his face. He also gave UIthe scoop on his upcoming ventures, as well as how it feels being part of the house that Wayne and Birdman built. The in-depth interview is paired up with a “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” meets “2012 Bonnie and Clyde” eight-page photo spread.
UI also brings you an exclusive feature on Max Agende, from the world-famous Latin super group, Aventura. In late 2010, the members of Aventura took a hiatus to work on solo projects. We tracked down their bassist, Max, to get the scoop on what he has up his sleeves for his new group, Vena, in 2012, his burgeoning rap career, and what he and his Aventura band mates have in store for the future. Max also broke down his ultimate tribute to music, which is forever marked on his skin.
Another music biz “heavy hitter” that graces the pages of Urban Ink’s 25th issue is BET’s “106 & Park” and New York Power 105’s own, DJ Prostyle. The globetrotting DJ got on the phone with UI while on his way to the radio station to chop it up about his come up in the competitive music industry and to breakdown his detailed tattoo collection—which was partly tattooed by his friend and Orlando, FL tattoo legend, the late Rob G.
Other cool features inside the new issue include: Tennessee Titan safety and the self-proclaimed “King of Tats of the NFL,” Anthony Smith; the grand prize winner of the sixth season of “Chopped,” Chef Shehu Fitzgerald; New York Urban Tattoo Convention CEO and “Ink Master” cast member, Al Fliction; the stylish, tatted twins, Coco and Breezy; and coverage of 2011’s Inked Out tat convention live from Dirty Jerz.
