Grammy-award winning artist and HELL ON WHEELS actor Common joined other style experts Friday evening (2/10) at the Parsons Panel Discussion on the intersection of facial hair styling and fashion design. The panel was moderated by Simon Collins, Dean of the School of Fashion at Parsons and also included professional ice hockey player Sean Avery; designer Richard Chai, and Editor in Chief of L’Officiel Hommes, Timothee Verrecchia. Topics discussed included how facial hair expresses your personality and the connection between humility and one’s personal wardrobe.
Following the discussion, Common hosted the unveiling of Blind Barber for Gillette at MILK Studios. An extension of the old school barbershop and bar located in the East Village, Blind Barber for Gillette is offering guests who visit Milk Studios haircuts, trims and facial hair styling services using the new Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler throughout Fashion Week.
