Cell Phone Service Underground

Imagine that – being able to actually use your phone while on the train. And not just in the miscellaneous stations that catch service on a whim, but at actual stations designated for cell service. As of Tuesday, AT&T and T-Mobile customers will have service along 6 lines – the A, C, E, F, L, M, 1, 2, and 3 platforms along 14th Street, and the C and E station at 23 Street. Transit Wireless will be using these stations as testing grounds, with all stations expected to be connected by 2016. I wonder where Sprint and Verizon stand on this.
