Obama Chats It Up With ‘Twitter Town Hall’

image

We’ve seen this before so it was only a matter of time, especially with reelection around the corner, that President Obama used Twitter as a vehicle to share his insights with the general public.

According to the New York Daily News, Obama spent an hour in the White House East Room fielding 140-character questions culled from thousands posed by Twitter users, making him the first president to “live tweet”.

The popular topic for the “town hall” was the country’s economic state, when Obama answered questions about jobs, the deficit, and possible solutions. Today, he resumes negotiations with Congress.
