Raven Symone Has A New TV Show

Former Disney star Raven Symone will headline ABC Family’s new comedy show title “The Great State of Georgia,” starring as Georgia, a curvy girl from the South who heads to New York City to pursue her dream of being an actress. One problem: Her ex-boyfriend plays by Brock Cuchna (Melrose Place) wants her to come back home. “Georgia” will be Symone’s first TV series since “That’s So Raven” ended in 2007. The pilot was written by author Jennifer Weiner (In Her Shoes) and Jeff Greenstein (Desperate Housewives). The show will premiere sometime next year and will be replacing ABC Family drama show Huge that was canceled earlier this year due to low ratings.
