‘Marvel’s The Avengers‘ made Hollywood history this weekend, earning $200.3 million to become the highest-grossing opening film of all time. This total bests the record set by 2011′s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Pt 2, which earned $169.2 million during its opening weekend.

Avengers opened internationally two weeks ago and collected $441.5 million across 52 global markets, bringing the film’s total revenues to $641.8 million and surpassing The Hunger Games as 2012′s top-grossing worldwide releases.

Additionally, Avengers is the 3rd consecutive #1 weekend box office film for the 135th Street Agency!
